My film Complicit won Best Animation at Delhi International Film Festival 2014 in India

I was invited to attend the Animasyros on the beautiful Greek island of Syros where my film Complicit was screening.  I am in there in the middle of the photo!

My film Phoenix Medium Rare got another award.  Niall Byrne was the actual official director,  I submitted the film to the festival and they got mixed up.

Won 2nd prize at the Signal Arts Center Film Festival for my film Complicit.

Only found out about this recently but my student film won best short film at Ecologico International Film Festival.  Quote from review:  Taurus for best short film in complicit - Gavin Hoffman (Ireland, 2013 , 4 ')  for the following reasons : Dazzling ! Through an indirect narrative (a man in psychoanalytic therapy ), the film explores , in an unusual way , the guilt of humanity that lives in the shadow of technology and progress at the expense of the humanity that will " bake " in the sun the third world.

Complicit won the best animation at The Silk Road Film Festival here in Dublin yesterday.   http://iftn.ie/news/?act1=record&only=1&aid=73&rid=4287025&tpl=archnews&force=1 The prize is a trip to Beirut, Lebanon to attend the NDU International Film Festival which Complicit will compete in :-)

I worked on the film with Brown Bag films using Maya.  The film, titled Anya, is directed by Damian O'Connor and is a promotional film for the charity "To Russia with Love".  I was primarily modelling, texturing and lighting.  Release date for the completed film is in May.
